The Sacramento Reptile Show first opened its doors in the fall of 1998. The event began as a 10 vendor, 1,200 square-foot show held in a small meeting room at a local hotel.

The Reptile Show has since grown to 15,000 square-feet, and is now held in downtown Sacramento's Convention Center. The event boasts attendance of more than 7,000 guests, 4000 reptiles, and features 40 professional reptile breeders from across the U.S.

The show is also a "sale" where reptile enthusiasts or newcomers have the opportunity to meet the breeders, gain excellent knowledge on the care of reptiles and, if interested, take a new pet home.
